K/P Corporation awarded forest stewardship council chain-of-custody multi-site certification

Certification now achieved by K/P facilities in Northern California, Oregon and Washington

SAN RAMON, CA – October 29, 2007 – K/P Corporation, a leading marketing technology solution provider, announced today that it has earned Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) multi-site Chain-of-Custody (CoC) certification. In addition to its Washington locations, which were originally awarded certification in May, K/P facilities in San Leandro, Sacramento and Stockton, CA, as well as Salem, OR, can now provide products printed with the prestigious FSC label. Chain-of-Custody is the path taken by raw materials harvested from an FSC-certified source to the end consumer, and includes the different stages of processing, manufacturing and distribution. Certification confirms that the end product can be accurately identified and traced back to a forest that has been FSC-certified. To pass FSC audits and achieve CoC certification, K/P developed and documented procedures regarding CoC and product labeling, then trained personnel to provide Chain-of-Custody for FSC-certified products and to maintain the integrity of the FSC trademark.
